KELIRON®
KELIRON® is a chelated iron fertilizer EDDHA (6% Fe, of which 3% ortho-ortho and 3% ortho-para) designed to prevent or quickly correct iron deficiencies.
KELIRON® is an ideal product to help prevent and correct ferric chlorosis, improving the color of the leaves thanks to a rapid supply of iron to the roots. Iron is chelated with the EDDHA molecule, which promotes its stability and availability even in alkaline or calcareous soils, where other forms of iron tend to become insoluble. Inside the product, the ortho-vegetable form of the EDDHA supports greater stability and persistence in the soil, while the ortho-para form makes the iron readily available to the plant. Thanks to the balance between these two forms, KELIRON® provides a readily assimilable share of iron and a longer-lasting one.
Prevents and treats ferric chlorosis in all crops.
The EDDHA molecule forms complexes that protect iron, keeping it soluble and absorbable by the roots even when the iron present in the soil is insoluble. This allows plants to resume chlorophyll synthesis and reduce the symptoms of ferric chlorosis.
Stable and persistent even in alkaline and calcareous soils.
The ortho-ortho isomer of EDDHA forms very strong bonds with iron, preventing its precipitation even in soils with high pH or rich in carbonates. This keeps the iron available to the roots for longer, promoting a steady supply.
Quick action.
The “ortho-para” isomer of EDDHA binds iron with a slightly less stable but more easily dechelated shape, allowing faster release of the element. This favors a rapid response by the plant in acute situations of deficiency.
