LIGOPLEX® Ca
Calcium complexed by ammonium ligninsulphonate
Product Overview
LIGOPLEX® Ca is a liquid fertilizer based on calcium, designed to prevent physiological disorders related to the deficiency of the element and to improve the consistency of the fruits.
LIGOPLEX® Ca contains high concentrations of calcium complexed with ammonium lignsulfonate (LSA), which facilitates leaf absorption and translocation into tissues. The product prevents typical physiological disorders such as bitter pitting of pome fruits, apical rot of nightshades, drying of leaf margins in leafy vegetables and physiological dryness of melons, improving quality and shelf-life. Thanks to LSA, it can also be applied to delicate leaves without risk of phytotoxicity.
How Does It Work?
LIGOPLEX® Ca combines a high concentration of calcium with complexation with LSA, offering rapid absorption and maximum availability of the element for the plant.
Prevents physiological disorders due to calcium deficiencies.
Calcium is essential for the formation and stability of cell walls, tissue cohesion and proper cell division. The foliar supply of LIGOPLEX® Ca allows rapid absorption and effective translocation into the tissues.
Improves the texture of vegetative tissues and fruit.
Calcium strengthens the cell wall and stabilizes membranes, improving the compactness and resistance of vegetative tissues and fruits. The action of LSA helps to optimize the absorption and distribution of calcium, favoring more robust tissues.
Contributes to the extension of shelf-life.
The optimal accumulation of calcium in the fruit delays their decay in post-harvest, while the distribution in the tissues makes them more resilient against stress. The post-fruit set phase is strategic in order to increase the consistency and shelf life of crops.
